A wonderful Vintage Emerald and diamond Trilogy/ Three-stone ring, likely dating to the mid-twentieth century. A wonderful striking octagonal step-cut emerald is set between two generous diamonds of approximately 0.5ct each (1ct total), within a beautiful openwork gallery.
The ring is in good condition commensurate with the piece’s age and emerald nature. The diamonds are bright and lively. The emerald displays medium green translucent hues with eye-visible inclusions, some surface-reaching- this is very characteristic of Emerald; indeed, the ‘gardin’ is the name of an individual emerald’s unique natural pattern of inclusions. There are some abrasions to the stone, again a common occurrence in older emeralds as they are soft stones. The ring has previously been resized. Overall, a gorgeous ring.
