Vintage 1.4ct Diamond Trilogy ring in 18ct white gold
A spectacular three-stone diamond ring featuring a trio of bright, sparkly transitional-cut diamonds. The stones have an approximate colour of J/K and clarity of SI1/SI2, with a combined estimated weight of approximately 1.40 to 1.45+ carats. They are beautifully set in a gorgeous 18ct white gold mount, which showcases intricate pierced openwork details along the gallery.
The ring is in excellent condition. While it bears a 1977 hallmark, the transitional cut of the diamonds and the overall style of the ring suggest it may have been made a few decades earlier. Over time, the white gold has developed a lovely, mellow patina—softening from a harsh bright white to a warm, warm-toned hue that sits beautifully between white and yellow gold. Our goldsmith has fully inspected the piece and confirmed that all stones are secure. Under magnification, one of the claws between the center and one side stone has worn down. This is not visible when the ring is on the finger and the stones remain secure. All the others claws are still intact, but it would be wise to have a jeweller recheck the ring regularly if you intend to wear it heavily for sports etc. The ring has been expertly resized in the past, leaving the shank in wonderful, robust condition. Overall, the ring is so stunning!
